CIBC REINFORCES ZELLERS RELATIONSHIP

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has expanded its partnership with Zellers' Club Z loyalty program. Under the deal, participants will receive Club Z points when they make their mortgage payments. Members will get 50 points for every dollar of regular mortgage interest paid. There will be a one-time sign-up bonus of 200,000 points and an additional reward of 50,000 points for customers who complete an Early Bird Club Z Mortgage Survey before April 30, 1998, and take out a CIBC Club Z mortgage after May 1. For now, the deal will be promoted in Club Z's catalogue. CIBC refused to reveal if it will launch media advertising for the program at a future date. Advertising for CIBC is done by Padulo Integrated of Toronto. CIBC has been involved with Club Z for a few years. It offers a CIBC Club Z Visa card and Club Z rewards on CIBC banking services.
