By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Bell Mobility jumped into the personal communications services market this week. The company launched its PCS service this week in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. Called PCS Plus, the service uses a dual-mode phone that works on a digital PCS network and an analog cellular network. Customers will have service on the digital and analog networks, North America-wide roaming capabilities, call display, text messaging, voice dial, data and wireless Internet access. The service will be promoted using newspaper, outdoor and TV ads created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Bell Mobility isn't the first company to launch a PCS service. Others include Microcell Telecommunications of Montreal and Clearnet Communications of Pickering, Ont.
