RADIO STATION PROMOTES VARIETY

Roche Macaulay & Partners Advertising of Toronto is promoting The Mix 99.9 radio station as the one with the most variety. The agency launched a Toronto-area transit campaign earlier this month using the tagline, "Variety is Good." Images of an assortment of cereals and candies are used in the ads to provide a frame of reference for the notion that variety is good. One ad features what would be a bag of candy, but instead of candy in the bag there are the names of various artists. The analogy is that the Mix 99.9 plays a variety of music from performers such as Alanis Morisette, U2 and the Rolling Stones.
