MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY PICKS OK&D

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada has selected Hamilton, On.-based OK&D Marketing Communications to handle the MS Read-a-Thon. The agency beat out a shortlist of three other agencies. "OK&D came up with the kind of creative and effective program we were looking for," said Lorna Zaremba, national fund raising events manager for the society. OK&D will provide marketing and communications support for the Read-a-Thon for the next three years, designing a new mascot and other marketing materials to be aimed at children in grades one through eight. The MS Read-a-Thon is designed to encourage elementary school children to improve their reading skills and get into recreational reading, as well as to raise money for multiple sclerosis research and patient services.
