FABY INCREASES GAME DISTRIBUTION
By Adnews Staff
Faby Games has increased the distribution of its Wordthief game and plans to promote the game using PR and radio ads. The game was launched last fall and was available at 21 Toys R Us outlets in Southern Ontario, 30 Dufferin Game Room stores and 50 independent retailers. Now can be bought through all Toys R Us and Dufferin Game Room outlets across Canada and several more independent retailers. The Kenilworth House of Toronto handles PR for Faby. Radio ads will begin by early November. They will be created by BWS of Toronto. The game is also available at several large retailers in the U.K including Harrods and Hamleys. FAO Schwartz in the U.S. sells Wordthief at its outlets. Wordthief is geared to consumers aged nine to 99. The game combines the elements of scrabble and gin rummy. Using cards, each of which feature a letter, a number value and a card suit, players lay down words to earn points. If the letters aren't all in the same suit, they can be stolen by other palyers to use in making a new word.
