APPLE GOES WITH TBWA

Apple Computer Corp. of California has handed its $20 million(US) European account to TBWA International of Amsterdam. TBWA got the business after two of the three short-listed agencies dropped out of the competition when they found out TBWA was the lead contender. The move makes the TBWA network responsible for worldwide advertising for the computer maker. TBWA Chiat/Day's Los Angeles office got the U.S. account earlier this summer, while the agency's Toronto office got the Canadian business last week.
