CANADA AM GOES TO RADIO

The CTV Television Network has put its Canada AM TV morning show on the AM radio dial in Montreal. As of this week, the show is being aired on 990 CKGM from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. The TV show has been on-air for 25 years, covering news, sports and entertainment. "Since the beginning of Canada AM as a morning television show we have known that many viewers use it as they use radio in the morning, watching some and listening a lot of it as they whiz around the house getting ready for work," say news vice-president Henry Kowalski. "Montrealers will be be able to stay with the show longer by tuning into 990 CKGM either in their cars or on their walkmans s they make their way into the office." Currently, there are no plans to put the show on the radio in English Canada, CTV publicist Aishling Keating told Adnews yesterday.
