AT&T INTRODUCES 10-CENT-A-MINUTE CALLS

AT&T Canada Long Distance Company of Toronto launched a savings plan this week in which its customers can call anywhere in Canada on weekends for 10-cents-per-minute. The deal is effective from midnight Fridays until midnight Sundays. The feature has been automatically included in all of AT&T's calling plans. Newspaper advertising is supporting the launch of the plan. Radio ads will begin next month and a TV campaign will be introduced in November. Advertising for AT&T is done by Young & Rubicam of Toronto.
