CLARIS LAUNCHES KIDS' SOFTWARE

California-based Claris Corp. recently introduced a software suite to the North American market geared to children from kindergarten to grade five. The package includes word processing for writing projects, spreadsheets and graphs for math assignments and databases for list-making and record-keeping. Users can also paint and create a slide show for story telling and presentations. There are more than 75 activities offered in the program including school newspapers, weather forecasting and nutrition measurement. The Windows version of the software will be available in September 1998. In Canada, the program is being promoted using PR done by Atkins & Ellis of Toronto.
