KODAK TOUTS ADVANTIX PRODUCTS

Toronto-based Kodak Canada is putting a big push on its Advantix products. The company will relaunch a campaign in the fall for the products entitled, Can your Camera Do This? The campaign will use national TV as well as newspaper and magazine ads created by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto. In addition, Kodak has launched two direct mail campaigns to encourage people to test an Advantix camera. In one campaign, consumers are given a chance to try out a camera for 30 days. If they are not satisfied, they can return the product to Kodak for a full refund. In addition, they will be offered up to a $20 rebate on an Advantix camera. This campaign is being handled by Target Mail of Toronto. In the second campaign, existing Advantix camera users will be mailed Advantix referral packages to give to their friends. If their friends buy a camera, the existing user will be given a free roll of Advantix film or a Memory Keeper storage case. The new purchaser will receive up to $20 off an Advantix camera. This campaign is being done in-house.
