CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE YOUTH SAFETY
By Adnews Staff
Bates Canada is letting Ontario's youth know about their rights when it comes to work safety. The Toronto agency will launch a radio, newspaper and outdoor campaign later this month for the Young Worker Awareness Program. The goal of the campaign is to make young workers aware of the risks, as well as their rights and responsibilities when it comes to workplace safety. The Young Worker Awareness Program was founded by the Industrial Accident Prevention Association and the Workers' Health and Safety Centre, with funding provided by the Workers' Compensation Board. Bates was hired for the business in mid-May after a competitive pitch. In the past, the program used agencies on a project basis for its summer campaigns. The Industrial Accident Prevention Association and the Workers Health and Safety Centre handle winter campaigns in-house.
