INTERNET USERS OFFERED CALL WAITING
By Adnews Staff
InfoInteractive of Halifax launched a visual call waiting service for Internet users last week. Called Internet Call Manager, the service is available in most Bell Canada territory in Ontario and Quebec. With the service, a caller's Caller ID is displayed on-screen while the user is surfing the Internet. Once notified, the ICM user can acknowledge the caller by clicking their mouse and selecting a pre-set message. Users can tell the caller that they will call back, tell the caller to call back or just tell the caller that the user isn't answering the phone. The service is being promoted using on-line ads and computer publications. The ads were created by Image Design of Halifax.
