NEC ENHANCES LCD MONITOR
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based NEC Technologies Corp. will introduce a new monitor to the North American market in August that provides users with a full 160 degree viewing angle. Previously, user of LCD monitors had to maintain a direct view, as off-axis images would shift color and become larger. NEC says its technology is the result of a new LCD alignment that scatters the emitted light more efficiently. The active matrix monitors are called the MultiSync LCD 2000 and the LCD 400. The 2000 is a 20.1-inch screen and the 400 features a 14-inch display. In Canada, NEC will promote the products using a print campaign handled by Hill, Holiday of Boston.
