CLARIS BETS ON NEW DEALER CAMPAIGN

Claris Canada thinks it is playing its cards right with a new dealer incentive campaign called "Four Aces", which started this week. The software designer is using this casino-inspired promo to push sales of its products by Ingram Micro and Merisel dealers. Four Aces refers to the four new Windows 95 programs: ClarisWorks 4.0, ClarisImpact 2.0, FileMaker 3.0 and ClarisDraw Windows. "Four Aces is designed so all our dealers can play to win, regardless of size," says Terry Sedgley, channel sales and marketing manager for Claris Canada, in a release. Dealers will receive Claris airline vouchers through direct mail, and a package that includes a rule sheet and the announcement of the grand prize trip to Las Vegas. For every $500 worth of Claris products sold, dealers can send in a ballot. The promotion runs until September 31 throughout Canada.
