Preventative Health Awareness Month begins
By Adnews Staff

Toronto-based health and wellness company Become the CEO of your Health has begun a promotion called Preventative Health Awareness Month, which will run through February. During the month, medical professionals will provide educational materials to consumers each week on subjects including stress management, diet, physical activity and sleep. The month will also include days focusing on topics such as suicide prevention, youth mental health, addiction and menopause, among others.
“Currently our system is reactionary,” said Margaret Wallis-Duffy, founder of Become the CEO of your Health. “If we started to listen more to our body mentally, physically and spiritually, and then actually went into action, we could do our part in preventing a possible diagnosis from happening or lessen the severity of it. This is not just a month. It will ignite conversations and create a community that's going to continue year-long, not only to talk about prevention, but to put people into action.”
