AMERICAN SENSORS SOUNDS BANKRUPTCY ALARM
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based alarm manufacturing firm, American Sensors Inc., filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this week. The move came after creditors, the Toronto-Dominion Bank and the Comerica Bank of Detroit, demanded repayment of over $9-million (U.S.) in loans. American Sensors manufactures a line of alarms, including units that detect smoke and carbon monoxide. Advertising for the company is handled by DDB Needham Worldwide's New York office, while Canadian PR is handled by Langdon Starr Public Relations of Toronto.
