Muskoka Highlands begins gas promotion

Muskoka Highlands, a golf course in Bracebridge, ON, has begun a promotion during which it will reimburse players for the cost of the gasoline needed to drive to the course. According to the company, the promotion will run until gas prices return to 2021 levels. Consumers must book a tee time after 1pm for an 18-hole foursome online. They must also purchase gas within the 24 hours before the tee time. At the course, they can submit the gas receipt during check-in to have the amount credited to their credit card. Foursomes who want to play nine holes will receive a gas card worth $50.

“We are blessed to have so many golfers excited enough to travel up to 200 kilometres to reach us,” said Don MacKay, president of Muskoka Highlands. "We wanted to give Canadian golfers a little something back as a thank you. With the economy what is, we want to be able to provide our neighbours with an escape that doesn't break the bank.”
