Ontario One Call begins campaign

Ontario One Call, a not-for-profit organization that acts as a communications link between utility companies, underground infrastructure owners, and individuals planning to dig on their properties, has begun a promotion called “Get the Dirt.” The initiative, timed to coincide with Dig Safe Month in April, features HGTV host Brian McCourt. It encourages Ontario consumers to use the organization’s online service before beginning any home improvement projects this spring or summer. The service provides information about gas or electrical lines buried under Ontario properties.
“Keeping everyone safe and avoiding unnecessary risks is important on and off the job,” said McCourt. “I always request a locate before diving into projects to ensure my team and the community are safe from harm associated with buried infrastructure.”
