Standard Media Index, Thinktv form agreement

Standard Media Index, a company that specializes in tracking media spending, has formed an agreement with Thinktv, a marketing and research association focusing on commercial television. Through this agreement, Standard Media Index will supply advertising spending data to Thinktv in an effort to improve the effectiveness of Canadian ad spending.
“This partnership will bring a new transparent dataset front-and-centre for a TV industry that has evolved with new digital and streaming opportunities for consumers, along with a complex media landscape that has an abundance of options for advertisers,” said Darrick Li, managing director for Canada at Standard Media Index. “It will highlight the strength of TV for Canadians and how advertisers continue to invest in TV as a strong medium to reach national and local audiences across Canada.”
