BUSINESS BALKS AT GETTING ON NET

A recent survey by the Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group reveals that, while companies around the world are establishing Internet presences, they're not flocking to do business on the Web. Close to 1,500 firms participated in the Deloitte & Touche poll. Less than one in 20 said their companies use the Internet for business transactions and only one in eight have plans to do so in the future. Among the reasons cited for the lack of enthusiasm surrounding business on the Internet were security, a lack of financial and human resources and uncertainty over technological standards.
