NYX Cosmetics Canada recently conducted a promotion called “The Safe Space Session,” aimed at LGBT teenagers. Developed by NYX Cosmetics conducts Safe Space Session, the effort consisted of a virtual event including participants from Canada, the US Mexico, South America, Europe and the Middle East. The event was moderated by social worker Bill Ryan and included the participation of various personalities including musician Adam Lambert, actress and model Lauren Jauregui, transgender activist Gigi Gorgeous, and television personality Jackie Cox, who described their own experiences with expressing their sexual and gender identities. The event was conducted in association with It Gets Better Canada, with public relations support by McIntyre Communiciations.
“As National Coming Out Day was approaching, we asked ourselves how we could further extend our commitment to providing safe spaces to reach out to Gen Z, most of whom are more comfortable coming out online,” said Keon Zhang, general manager of NYX Cosmetics Canada. “The team at McCann brought us the ‘Safe Space Sessions’ idea, and we knew that it was the answer to amplify our impact to provide safe spaces to more people in the virtual world.”
