Harvey's begins touring promotion

Fast food chain Harvey's has begun a national promotion making use of a branded recreational vehicle. The vehicle will travel across the country to distribute 50,000 free hamburgers to grocery store workers as thanks for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic. To meet with public health guidelines, the vehicle will be equipped with hand sanitizer stations and distancing guides. Workers will use Bauer hockey sticks to pass food to consumers.

In addition, Harvey's is encouraging consumers to “pass along the thanks” to a “community hero” by posting a photograph of themselves at the RV while tagging the individual. This individual will then receive a coupon for a free hamburger at a local restaurant.

“Frontline grocery store workers and Harvey's restaurant associates have supported Canadians by providing food solutions throughout these challenging times,” said Chelsea Kellock, senior director of marketing at Harvey's Canada. “Harvey's wanted to recognize and give back to our fellow food titans who are at the heart of their communities.”
