AVON ALTERING ADS

New York-based Avon Products is spending millions to revamp its advertising. The cosmetics company will switch from its "Just Another Avon Lady" spots to a March campaign with the tag line "Dare to Risk Nothing . . . Dare to Change Your Mind About Avon." The new ads will focus on Avon's skincare products to support the launch of two new lines: a new-look Anew and a premiere series called Avon Skincare. Avon will also be changing its logo, brochures and catalogues. The new campaign will be handled by U.S.-based N.W. Ayer & Partners and will use TV, outdoor and print. Montreal-based Avon Canada officials could not be reached for comment on whether the ads would run in Canada as well.
