Mural installed at Montreal airport
By Adnews Staff
Montréal-Trudeau International Airport has installed an eight-foot-tall mural in its transborder zone. The artwork, painted by Montreal-based illustrator Cécile Gariépy, is intended to recall scenes of life in the city’s alleyways. The mural is part of the airport’s YULArt program, which launched last year to promote the work of local artists. The Montréal-Trudeau International Airport is operated by Aéroports de Montréal.
“We are proud to be showcasing the artworks of local artists and to demonstrate a 'Montréalitude' to all travellers through this impressive mural,” said Renée Lebel, director of customer experience at Aéroports de Montréal. “Thanks to local talent, we are paying tribute to our city.”
