FORMER FOES LAUNCH CO-OPERATIVE CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
In a bid to draw tourists to the Middle East, the tourism ministries of Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority have teamed up to launch a North American print ad. The advertising comes on the heels of the signing of the Hebron agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The recent accord transferred control over most of the city of Hebron from Israel to the Palestinians. Containing the word "peace" in English, Hebrew and Arabic at the top, the ad ran recently in major U.S. papers and appeared nationally in The Globe and Mail yesterday. It will be repeated in the travel section of The Globe's weekend edition. Christy, Macdougall, Mitchell of New York created the ad.
