U.S.-based Rapp Collins Worldwide has purchased Communicaide Integrated Marketing Services of Toronto and merged the agency with its Oakville, Ont.-based firm Hughes Rapp Collins. The deal was finalized last week. Hughes Rapp Collins is a direct marketing agency with direct and database marketing services. While Communicaide is also a direct marketing agency, it handles creative, corporate communications, promotional and event marketing and public relations. The new combined agency will boast all of those services. The two agencies have worked together on projects in the past with their relationship going back four years. The new agency is called Rapp Collins Communicaide. By May 1, the entire staff of the new firm will move into offices in Mississauga, Ont. Former Hughes Rapp Collins president Ron Fabbro is president of the combined agency. Former Communicaide principals Patrick Folliott and Rob Morgan are serving as executive vice-presidents. Former Hughes Rapp Collins chairman Terry Hughes and former COO/CFO Liz Bradbeer maintain their positions with the new company.
