VIEWCALL SEEKING AGENCY FOR INTERNET TV
By Adnews Staff
ViewCall Canada of Winnipeg will launch its Internet TV channel across Canada in the spring and is looking for an agency to promote the service, corporate communications manager Bob Lantz told Adnews yesterday. Currrently the company is speaking to several agencies and will make a decision within the next two weeks. The service, called On-TV, works with the TV remote control. It provides viewers with e-mail, news, weather and sports updates via the Internet. Users can also surf the Internet and get personalized information at the click of their TV remote control. The service was tested in Manitoba from last April until August. ViewCall Canada is a joint venture between U.S.-based ViewCall America and MTS Advanced of Winnipeg.
