BURLINGTON NEWS TRYING TO INCREASE COMMUNITY PROFILE

OK&D Marketing Communications of Hamilton, Ont. will launch a transit and outdoor campaign next week for The Burlington News to position the paper as the number one source for local news in Burlington, Ont. The campaign will also let people know the paper will begin publishing three times a week instead of just two later this month. Print ads began last week. The ads use the names of local people who have been in stories in the news. The tagline for the ads is "Make The News." OK&D won The Burlington News business a month ago in a competition with local and Toronto agencies. The Burlington News is a division of the Hamilton Spectator.
