MCI Group acquires CG&I

Toronto-based MCI Group Canada has acquired Montreal-based event management firm Conferences, Groups & Incentives. The company's co-owner, Carolyn Bourke, will become director of MCI's Montreal office and will head its expansion in Quebec. MCI specializes in the management of meetings, events and associations. It also has an office in Vancouver.
"MCI is committed to growing in Canada and showcasing it as a destination to attract more international conferences, while supporting local clients," said Juliano Lissoni, managing director of MCI Group Canada. "Our presence in Montreal is a significant opportunity for us to achieve our objectives. We intend to augment the local market presence by adding new services, which will allow us to challenge both local and international competition even more successfully."
