Air Georgian sponsors OWHA

Mississauga-based regional airline Air Georgian has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Ontario Women's Hockey Association. According to the airline, the sponsorship is intended to promote aviation as a career to women in organized sports. The effort is part of the company's "Sharing Opportunities for Advancement and Reward" awareness program.
"Team sports like hockey help young women develop talents and skills they can apply in the workplace as they grow into the leaders of tomorrow," said Julie Mailhot, COO at Air Georgian. "Female youth hockey players are powerful examples of those working to break down gender barriers and overcome gender bias. We're eager to partner with OWHA to support these women by opening doors in aviation and providing opportunities for them to achieve their best as their careers soar."
