Astellas Pharma sponsors Wish of a Lifetime

Astellas Pharma Canada of Markham, ON has begun a sponsorship initiative with charitable organization Wish of a Lifetime Canada. Through this agreement, the company will work to fulfill the wishes of a number of individual Canadian seniors. Sponsorship of each wish includes planning, research, airfare, hotel, meals, ground transportation and incidental expenses, as well as content creation. According to the charity, its purpose is to change the perception of aging and to encourage the respect and aid of older citizens.
"Partnering with Wish of a Lifetime Canada was a natural fit for us given our focus on finding and responding to areas in our community where we can make the most impact to improve lives and positively influence our society," said Steve Sabus, general manager of Astellas Pharma Canada. "We know that loneliness and isolation are conditions that often affect seniors. Through donor support like ours, the wishes help relieve these feelings by providing seniors with emotional and psychological support."
