Arrive Alive conducts St. Patrick's Day promotion

Advocacy group Arrive Alive Drive Sober has begun a St. Patrick's Day initiative in association with The Pipes and Taps Pub in Oakville, ON. The responsible drinking promotion features coasters made from metal taken from wrecked cars. The objects display the copy, "This coaster used to be a car. That car never made it home." This will be the second year for this promotion.

"Impaired driving remains one of the leading criminal causes of death in Canada," said Michael Stewart, program director at Arrive Alive. "These coasters are made from cars that never made it home and are an excellent reminder to people that there are consequences to driving drunk. We encourage everyone celebrating today to have a designated driver, take transit or download The Ride App for a safe ride home."
