LifeScan Canada begins Small Victories campaign

Medical products company LifeScan Canada has begun a campaign called "Small Victories" in support of its OneTouch blood glucose monitoring product line. The campaign encourages consumers with diabetes to share via Facebook the lifestyle changes they have made to manage their blood glucose levels. One dollar for each message posted with the campaign hashtag will be donated to Diabetes Canada. The campaign also includes an online video featuring Andrea Pellizzer, operater of the blog Type One Chick. LifeScan Canada is a division of Johnson & Johnson.

"Canadians pride themselves on being empathetic, community-driven individuals, so it's time that we come together to tell each other 'good job' and 'keep going,'" said Jan Hux, president and chief science officer of Diabetes Canada. "When you manage a chronic condition like diabetes, choosing healthier options such as water, being active or checking blood glucose first thing in the morning are the small wins that can have a big impact."
