Mitsubishi Electric conducts NHL Centennial Fan Arena promotion

Toronto-based Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada is preparing to conclude a promotion tied to its sponsorship of the National Hockey League. The traveling promotion, called the "NHL Centennial Fan Arena," is intended to recognize 100 years of hockey players, teams and memorable moments. The effort will conclude on Dec. 19 in Toronto, where the company will host a ball hockey game at Yonge Dundas Square with children from the Boys and Girls Club of Canada. Hockey player Darcy Tucker will also make a personal appearance to sign autographs in a branded tent.

The installation also features an interactive museum truck, a virtual reality game and a photo opportunity with the Stanley Cup trophy. Visitors can also enter a draw for one of 10 gift cards from NHLShop.ca. Mitsubishi Electric is using the promotion to support its line of energy efficient residential comfort products, from which demonstration units are also on display in the heated tent.

In conjunction with the tour, Mitsubishi Electric is also conducting a contest component called the "Ultimate Home Game Contest," which will run until Dec. 31. The winner will receive a trip to the 2018 NHL All-Star Weekend in Florida. Consumers can enter online at <http://www.ultimatehomegame.ca> by submitting photographs of themselves cheering for a hockey team from their homes.
