Connect Hearing conducts Quiet Choir promotion

Connect Hearing, a hearing healthcare provider based in Victoria, BC, has begun a promotion called the "Quiet Choir" to coincide with what it has designated "Better Hearing & Speech Month." The promotion is intended to raise awareness of hearing health by demonstrating the difference between good hearing and hearing loss.

The promotion includes an online video depicting a special event at a shopping mall. The event consisted of an a cappella choir from the University of British Columbia which sang loudly or softly depending on where a listener stood. It also makes use of a website at <http://www.year2hear.ca>.

"At Connect Hearing, we know that every sound, no matter how loud or how quiet, connects us to what matters most," said Jeremy Baxter, vice-president of marketing at Connect Hearing. "Our hearing allows us to be fully engaged in our daily lives and connected to everything and everyone that matters. The aim of our Quiet Choir is to give Canadians pause in a light-hearted manner about a serious issue."
