Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada conducts campaign

The Toronto-based Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada has begun an online initiative intended to promote motorcycle safety. The effort will run though May, designated as Motorcycle Safety Month. It encourages motorcycle riders to take a pledge to observe proper safety practices when riding. The pledge can be taken at <http://www.motorcycling.ca> or via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

"Motorcycle safety is everyone's responsibility," said Dave Millier, chair of the organization. "We're encouraging everyone to take the Motorcycle Safety Pledge because behind the helmet, motorcyclists are mothers, fathers, children, and friends. At the MCC our long-term goal is to make Canada the safest place to ride a motorcycle. We hope to achieve this ambitious goal by encouraging everyone, riders, passengers, drivers, and loved-ones, to take the Motorcycle Safety Pledge."
