Tourism Partnership of Niagara conducts Claim the Eighth campaign

The Tourism Partnership of Niagara has begun an online campaign called "Claim the Eighth" calling for Niagara Falls and its surrounding area to be internationally recognized at the "Eighth Wonder of the World." The campaign, developed by McCann Canada, consists of four online videos, a slideshow of imagery and social media activities. The initiative will run until the end of August.

"As the conversation goes, people are familiar with the 'Seven Wonders of the World,'" said Jody Larose, executive director of the Tourism Partnership of Niagara. "Be it modern, natural or man-made, there are recognized icons of nature and culture that are associated with this list. However, there has never been an official recognition or title given to a new, globally known icon of the world. Through this initiative we aim to change that and are calling on local residents and Canadians to show their support by joining the conversation and sharing why they too want to make Niagara Canada the Eighth Wonder of the World."
