FORD INTRODUCES QUICK SERVICE OUTLETS
By Adnews Staff
Ford of Canada will begin testing rapid service outlets in southern Ontario on Nov. 23. Called Fast Lane, the service outlets will offer maintenance and light repair work on a no-appointment, while-you-wait basis. The locations are in Guelph, St. Catharines and Aurora. Over 300 Fast Lane outlets will be opened across Canada within the next two years if the pilot goes well. Fast Lane's core services will include oil, filters, tires, exhaust systems, brakes, shocks and struts, tune-ups and alignments. Flyer, direct mail and print advertising supports the launch of the pilot project. The flyers and print ads were created by Young & Rubicam of Toronto. Firstcom Cato Johnson of Toronto will do direct mail.
