Alberta Securities Commission conducts CheckFirst campaign
The Alberta Securities Commission is conducting a campaign in that province intended to raise awareness of its work protecting consumers from investment fraud. The initiative, developed by Brookline Public Relations, focuses on investor education. The is the third year the agency has worked on this promotion. It consists of public engagement activities at home and garden shows in Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge, as well as digital advertising until the end of March, which is Fraud Prevention Month. The effort also included an event at an Edmonton coffee shop on March 3. During the event, the location was rebranded as the CheckFirst Café and used to distribute information about checking with the organization before making an investment.
