Tim Hortons begins Warm Wishes campaign

Tim Hortons has begun a six-week holiday season campaign called "Warm Wishes." Until Dec. 20, consumers can submit descriptions of good deeds or "small acts of kindness" via social media to enter a draw for one of five $5,000 donations to a charity of their choice. Each week of the campaign will feature a theme: Give a Little Warmth, Connect with Someone, Brighten Someone's Day, Lend a Helping Hand, Spread Cheer and Give Back.

The company launched the initiative with a promotion in Grimsby, ON, where a Tim Hortons locations was redecorated as a snow-covered log cabin with holiday lights and a chalet-style interior. For the day of the launch, consumers at that location could request good deeds on behalf of the local community, which the company would work to realize.

"We're fortunate to have incredible guests who are already doing good deeds during the holidays, so we want to honour and reflect that generosity with this campaign," said David Clanachan, president and COO of Tim Hortons. "Canadians are encouraged to share their acts of kindness on Twitter and Instagram using '#WarmWishes.' Five participants will be rewarded with the opportunity to donate five thousand dollars to the charity of their choice to help spread even more warm wishes."
