KLM GOES SMOKE-FREE
By Adnews Staff
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will make the majority of its flights smoke-free as of October 29, when its winter schedule begins. This policy will apply to flights between Canada and Amsterdam, the U.S. and Amsterdam, flights within Europe and flights between Amsterdam and Australia. The ban will apply to business class and economy class. The demand for non-smoking seats has risen, and it has become difficult to provide non-smokers with seating in the non-smoking section; the change comes as a result of varying consumer expectations, a KLM release says. KLM officials were unavailable to comment on it would advertise its smoke-free flights.
