Olive Media forms native advertising deal with Nativo

Olive Media of Toronto has signed an agreement with California-based Nativo to offer a native advertising service in Canada. The service will allow advertisers to syndicate custom branded content to approximately 250 online publishers reaching 7.5 million unique monthly visitors in Canada. According to Nativo, its ads will be contextual, matched to the look of each site, and placed in the editorial feed with the branded content contained within the publication. Content categories will include automotive, business, entertainment, health, lifestyle, news, parenting, technology, travel, sports and fashion.

"True native advertising enables brands to capture consumer attention and grow exposure for their content marketing assets seamlessly on a publisher's website, leveraging the natural flow of online reading behavior," said Ray Philipose, vice-president of Olive Audience at Olive Media. "However, scaling initiatives across multiple publishers has been difficult to achieve until now. Through our exclusive partnership with Nativo, we are able to scale branded content distribution to hundreds of websites simultaneously while taking on the look and feel of each site, automatically optimizing for performance across those sites, and across desktop and mobile platforms."
