Merkato Communications opens Guelph office

Merkato Communications of Toronto has appointed Heather Travis to the position of vice-president and chief marketing officer at its newly-opened office in Guelph, ON. Merkato is a full-service communications agency specializing in food, nutrition, health and lifestyle clients. The new location in Guelph is intended primarily to service the agri-food industry. Travis was previously director of public relations and marketing communications at Canada Beef. Additional staff in Guelph will include senior associates Blair Cameron and Roy Maxwell.
