AULT CHOOSES HOLMES, DONIN, ALLOUL

Holmes, Donin, Alloul was handed the Toronto-based Ault Foods account recently. The Toronto agency won the business in a shoot out with Vickers & Benson Advertising of Toronto. The account was left up for grabs in July when Lowe/SMS of Toronto resigned the business. Lowe was merged in June with Roche Macaulay & Partners Advertising of Toronto when Lowe's U.S. parent company, The Lowe Group of New York, bought a stake in Roche. Ault president and CEO Graham Freeman was not happy about the merger. The company spent just over $7 million on advertising last year, according to ACNielsen of Markham, Ont.
