Sony promotes 4K television with shoe shine stations

Sony is conducting a promotion in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary for its Bravia line of 4K television sets. During June and July, shoe-shine stations will be installed in various office buildings that will allow consumers to sample the high resolution of the TVs while getting their shoes polished. Promotional workers will also offer information about the product and invite passers-by to enter a draw for a Bravia 4K television. The campaign was developed by Universal McCann Canada and Newad. "We searched for the best way to capture and maintain the attention of those hard to reach consumers," said Anand Puran, director of experiential marketing for central Canada at Newad. "In this case, they will be sitting still at one of the Sony shoe shine stations, fully prepared to appreciate the unique qualities of the Bravia technology. Our objective consists of offering a high quality service to promote a high quality product to consumers with significantly higher incomes."
