Canadian Marketing Association selects board

The Canadian Marketing Association has appointed Walter Levitt to the position of chair of its board of directors for 2013-2014. Levitt is executive vice-president of marketing at Comedy Central. Stephen Brown, president of Fuse Marketing Group, has been appointed vice-chair. New board members include Mélanie Dunn, president of Cossette Quebec and chairman of Vision7 Quebec, Stephen Forbes, executive vice-president of CIBC Marketing, Strategy, Communications, Steve Mast, president of Delvinia, and Sandra Sanderson, senior vice-president of marketing at Shoppers Drug Mart.
In related news, the Canadian Marketing Association has extended life memberships to three people in recognition of their work for the organization: Ernie Johannson, senior vice-president at BMO; Rich Bassett, president of Bassett Direct; and Steve Levy, president of Ipsos Reid East. Johannson was chair of the CMA's board of directors in 2010-2011. Levy was treasurer and chair of the revenue generation committee. Bassett has been a member of the association for approximately 25 years. The memberships are also intended to recognize their contributions to the development of the Canadian marketing industry.
