Vancouver-based car dealership OpenRoad Auto Group has begun a promotion called the "VLogger Challenge." The initiative, which will run until July 31, takes the form of a Facebook competition for a job with the company as a video blogger. Consumers can enter by submitting a video expressing their enthusiasm for automotive travel, then sharing the video and soliciting votes. The winner will receive a four-month contract with a payment of $6,400, as well as a $2,000 vehicle budget, a $1,000 entertainment budget, $1,000 in gas cards and $1,000 in camera equipment. The winner will then produce 32 videos on topics related to the automotive industry. Visitors to the Facebook page who vote in the contest will be entered into a draw for a $500 gift card.
