BMW resumes Art Auction promotion

BMW Group Canada has begun a fourth installment if its "BMW Art Auction" promotion. The initiative, managed by Cundari of Toronto, is taking place in Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges in airports nationally. The auction seeks to raise funds to combat child poverty by selling original works of art. This auction is being conducted in association with the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival. Four Canadian photographers were given five hours to create images of their choice of new BMW vehicles. Prints of the photographs will be on display in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal until Nov. 1. "For over 35 years, BMW has been blurring the lines between automobiles and art through creative endeavours such as our renowned Art Car initiative," said Marc Belcourt, brand communications manager at BMW Group Canada. "Not only does this latest auction support local Canadian artists but all the proceeds go to a great cause."
