HUNT-WESSON ADS PROMOTES EXTRA GARLIC

U.S.-based Hunt-Wesson will launch a $5 million(US) TV campaign in mid-September for its Healthy Choice Garlic Lovers spaghetti sauces. The ads will be created by Campbell Mithun Esty of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In Canada, Hunt-Wesson markets a line of Healthy Choice spaghetti sauces, but not the Garlic Lovers brand. The company hasn't decided yet if it will bring the product to Canada, Canadian general manager Bob Miller told Adnews yesterday. Advertising for Hunt-Wesson in Canada is done by Doner Schur Peppler of Toronto. ConAgra says sales of the garlic-flavored sauces in the U.S are growing at about 8% as compared to the growth of about 3% in the total pasta sauce category.
