SPORT SELECT KICKS OFF NEW GAME

The Ontario Lottery Corporation launched its third Sport Select game across Ontario this week. Called Point Spread, the launch is designed to coincide with the start of the NFL season this weekend. Point Spread will let players choose which teams they think will either cover or beat a point spread for each game. Spreads for CFL games will also be included. Each week, fans can bet on two to 12 games and can wager from $2 to $100. A campaign for Point Spread began this week using television, radio and newspapers across Ontario. The TV spots will run for six weeks, the radio and print ads for four weeks. There will also be in-store signs and point-of-sale pamphlets. The ads were designed by Promanad Communications Inc. of Toronto, while media was bought by Media Buying Services of Toronto. The first Sport Select game, called Pro Line, was launched in 1992 followed by Over Under in 1995.
